Vanessa Snyder and her two best friends, Nikki and Stacey face Middle School together as the three most popular girls in the 8th grade. Stacey has a huge crush on pretty boy Tony. Tony has a crush on Vanessa. Outside the girls bathroom, waiting for Stacey, Nikki and Vanessa plan Stacey's birthday party. Vanessa is asked to invite Tony. When she does invite him, it looks to Stacey and Nikki that Vanessa's hitting on Tony. A few days later at a Cafe, Nikki suggests to Vanessa that she should ask Tony to go out with Stacey. She says she would, but Tony's interested in Vanessa even more. When he won't go out with Stacey, she and Nikki are determined to ruin Vanessa's life with a "Hating Vanessa' website, hinting that she's getting fat, she's a slut, and a druggie after accidentally overdosing on sleeping pills. With her new best friend Emily, she graduates and moves on to high school, leaving Nikki and Stacey behind due to the fact that Nikki didn't graduate and Stacey's a backstabbing liar.
